Venue:
Our hosts are St. Georges Hall, Concert Room. This magnificent
building is in the heart of Liverpool on Lime Street and only a
short walk from Lime Street Station and the City Centre. The
surrounding area is a pedestrian precinct and formal gardens, so the
concert room is isolated from the noise of Liverpool’s traffic.
Smoking is not permitted in the entire building.
Disabled access is by
lift.
Use park and ride or
public transport, particularly train to Lime Street.
Refreshments
Tea, coffee and
water will be provided to players free of charge.
Analysis
There is an analysis
room close to the Concert Room.
Conditions:

Bye:
A player may request one half-point bye. Round one byes must be
claimed on the Entry Form, Other byes should be negotiated with the
Chief Arbiter.
Prizes:
Where players qualify for more than one prize, the organisers
reserve the right to redistribute prize money.
Refusal of Entry:
The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry.
Refunds:
If a player withdraws before 1st September 2007, half
his/her entry fee will be returned.
Ratings:
The FIDE rating list of 1st July 2007 will be
used. Unrated players should give some indication of
their playing strength.
Grading: All results will be
graded by the ECF.
Registration:
There is no registration but if you become unable to play you must
communicate with the Tournament Director.
The event is part of the English
Chess Federation Grand Prix. The highest two eligible players will
qualify for the British Chess Championships.

The tournament will be held in the
Concert Room alongside the UK v China Summit Match.
