Bye: A player who is not receiving conditions may request one half-point bye. Round one byes must be claimed on the Entry Form, other byes should be negotiated with the Chief Arbiter.

Prizes: Where players qualify for more than one prize, the organisers reserve the right to redistribute prize money.

Tie break procedures:

Ratings: The FIDE rating list of 1st July 2008 will be used. Unrated players should give some indication of their playing strength.

Grading: All results will be graded by the ECF and FIDE

Registration: All players should register during the evening of Monday 8th September. Details of a Reception will be announced. It is acceptable to register by e-mail or by phone.
