'The dates,
agreed with the ECU, have been chosen to allow maximum potential
for participation for people in work and includes one
weekend in the 10-round tournament.
There will be an increased
prize-fund in the order of £30,000 (€50,000); time limits are
likely to be 'classical' not 'FIDE'.
Entry restricted to nationals from EU member states.
Observation of a dress code will
be required from every player receiving 'conditions';
responsible standards of dress and presentation will be expected
throughout (minimum: smart informal).
The venue will be the World Museum
where the 2006 event was held with such distinction.'
